Hackathons, Hack Days, Startup Weekends and the like are a growing movement. They bring together entrepreneurs, designers, developers, mentors, investors, and cram them in a room to sink or swim on their best ideas. The scene has become a hot bed for technology startups and many have gone on to be very successful, highly funded companies.
