If you haven’t felt the SPARQ just yet, don’t worry you will! Seattle based start-up SPARQCode has already launched in over 700 stores in Seattle already. They are taking scanning QR codes (These funny black and white squares you see) to a whole new level.

With their site, it is easy for businesses of all kinds and sizes to go on and create their own scannable codes. Once created, customers can scan the codes with their smartphone cameras and instantly follow them on Twitter, friend them on Facebook, or take them to a link the business wants to promote. You can even create a code for checking in via Foursquare and Gowalla!

It’s always fantastic to see Seatle start-ups making a splash and after getting some angel funding, we’re betting SPARQCode is set to get even bigger.

We are thinking about putting our new codes on new business cards and print materials when we get them and I even put our Twitter and Facebook follow codes in here so you could try out your scanners and follow if you haven’t! So many people use Twitter and Facebook from their phones that making a quick scan all it takes to add you on those social media, qr code, follow, friend, scanner, iphone, android, salty waffle, facebook, twitternetworks really makes it easy and more likely that they will do it. You don’t have to worry about them getting lost out there in the social media world looking for you or forgetting when they get home, it all happens right there while they wait in line, eat, or even read your blog :).

SPQARQCode can work for anyone, even if you don’t have a physical location so give it a try and start scanning!
