Online Christian Radio Part 1

Today we are going to look at a cousin to video streaming: audio broadcasting, also known as podcasts. Check out this article for a full run down on the types of blogging. There are many different radio sites for believers. This series will cover the basics in many different sites. Here are the first two:

1) Bible Broadcasting Network
BBN is an online radio that offers many different benefits. Along with the radio aspect, BBN also has a online bible study classes and a live chat option where anyone can ask questions to a chat operator. BBN state that “Radio and the Internet remain the most cost-effective tools for reaching people with the Gospel and teaching them 24 hours a day.” They currently broadcast in 9 different languages and have the option to either listen live or hear programs on demand. You can find a station or find a program that includes a list of all programs’ name, description, and air time. BBN also has Apps for mobile use and offers opportunities to get involved by volunteering. You can follow this network through their Google Profile, Facebook, or Twitter.

2) Bible Study Radio
Bible Study Radio is an archive of bible studies that are in mp3 format. Each day the site posts one new message from the New Testament and one from the Old Testament. On their about section, they explain the purpose of the site, “The objective of this site is not merely to garner more information, more doctrine from the Scriptures but to contact the Lord Himself and to experience Him as life for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose.” Under each lesson you have the ability to leave a comment or share the message with your friends using social media!
