Hootsuite: A Tool for Teams

hootsuite, social media, social media class, teams, twitter, facebook, salty waffleHere at Salty Waffle, almost all of our work is done remotely.

Our ability to do this is in large part due to the tools we use everyday. We have a service to make conference calls easy, we use Google Docs to share information, and with our cool phones we can post on the go.

As we collect experience working this way we want to share tools that work particularly well for us. The primary tool we use for automating our marketing is Hootsuite. It has the option to create teams, amazing analytics, and support for an increasing number of social networks.

In a team, members may post tweets, status updates and other information not only to their own social network, but to the networks of all those in the team. In this way, when I tweet on Salty Waffle, I also tweet to my personal twitter account, as well as the Facebook and linkedIn accounts of all my team members.

You can hit the web with a united message. Through Hootsuite you can also schedule your tweets to go out later across all those same networks that are part of your team. Like most of the tools we use, Hootsuite saves time, is free and ever improving.

You an also use Hootsuite to track the success of your links and connect more easily to conversations and other people. We recently became Hootsuite certified, so if you’re having issues, let us know! We also cover it in our social media classes.
